ILWGSE CADET PAO TEAM - APPLICATION PROCEDURES 

The Illinois Wing Summer Encampment (ILWGSE) is looking for Cadets interested in being part of the Summer Encampment (SE) Public Affairs (PA) staff team.  We are looking for five cadets to make the PAO team. The PAO team will consist of a total of five cadets.  There will be two teams, each composed of a writer and photographer.  These two teams will be supervised by a cadet officer or NCO.  The cadets will be overseen by two experienced senior member PAOs.

There will be no formal PA classes during the encampment; however, opportunities for PA training will be available prior to the encampment.  We aim to set the team in February (subject to change) so we can conduct online pre-encampment discussions of duties and expectations.

Additionally, cadets interested in applying (or if you have additional questions) should email FO Samuel Ross at rsamuel@ilwg.cap.gov AND Lt Col Paul Hertel at phertel@ilwg.cap.gov (email to both is required for cadet protection purposes), stating your interest in joining the PAO staff team and/or questions, as well as sharing some prior work or examples of work you’ve done.

Once selections are made from the pool of applicants, all applicants will be notified and those selected will be posted in the Cadet Staff box under the ABOUT tab on the main page of the encampment website.
