Public Affairs Section and School
Public Affairs is essential to include in any activity. Public Affairs in real-world missions, practice missions, and other activities showcase our Volunteers Serving America’s Communities, Saving Lives, and Shaping Futures.
This year, we offer a combined Public Affairs Section and a Public Affairs School during Summer Encampment.
We seek eight cadets interested in Civil Air Patrol Public Affairs or journalism. There are only eight because of space concerns. If there is more interest, we'll see what we can do. Please let me know if you have your own camera. Smartphones may suffice.
You must have completed an encampment before this one.
You will work together to create a daily encampment newsletter.
You will take photos of activities for practice and uploading to SmugMug and Social Media.
You will interview cadets and adult volunteers for social media.
We'd like to create a video similar to this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gygax2NkJxI
